Largely self-taught, Arnulf Rainer’s art is associated with both Surrealism and Art Informel art movements. He is known for monochromatic artworks that feature elements of mathematical principles and the building up or layering of paint over existing artworks. For this poster he created a metaphor for the court surface.
The ITHF is looking for an original example of this poster to add to our museum’s permanent collection. Please contact our Curator of Collections for further information.
