In 2010, a new stage began for the company Castey, a leading brand traditionally specialized in the production of cast‑aluminium cookware. In recent years, in addition to relying on the prestigious careers of designers such as Ramon Benedito and Jorge Pensi, its R&D team has developed and patented new technologies to incorporate into its products. One example is this set of Artic cooking pots, made with the Trimetal Induction® structure, composed of three metal layers: an outer layer of inductive steel, an inner layer of 18/10 steel, and an aluminium core. This allows it to absorb energy and distribute it evenly, while also providing great durability and impact resistance.
The design conceived by Pensi, in which each piece fits inside another, gives the set a wide range of features such as stackability, space saving, and multifunctionality. The combination of the different elements (the tall and medium pots, the strainer, and the lid) makes it possible to cook using different techniques: as a regular pot, as a boiler, for steaming, or in a bain‑marie. In addition, the reversible lid has two positions (fully closed or partially open to release steam) and can be used as a trivet or tray.
This cooking set, together with two different saucepans, forms the Artic cookware collection, which marked Castey’s entry into the stainless‑steel cookware market, surpassing the products previously available.
